Dear Pastors, Friends and Family,
June 1, 2024 (Apr. – May ‘24)
Greetings in Jesus’ Name from Mexico City! Things are going well here. Thanks for your prayers and support. We took our teens to a youth conference in April. It was a big help to them spiritually and fun, too. A young 6-year-old boy in our church named Mateo has become a real witness for Christ. Both his parents abandoned him, but he comes to church regularly with others from his family. Recently he had the attention of all his classmates in public school and was witnessing to them all as a group. It was in between classes and the teacher came over and asked him what he was telling the others. He told her that he was telling them that only Jesus saves and without Jesus, they will go to Hell, but with Jesus, they can go to Heaven. He then asked the teacher, “And you; is Jesus your Savior? If not, you won’t go to Heaven.” Mary visited a Jewish lady recently and was able to give her a New Testament in Spanish and Hebrew. In return, the lady gave Mary a pendant from Jerusalem. Dear Pastors, Friends and Family,
April 1, 2024 (Feb. – Mar. ‘24)
Greetings in Jesus’ Name from Mexico City! It’s been another great two months here on the mission field. We have seen folks saved regularly and baptized. We continue to have new first-time visitors almost every week. We had 10 first-timers one Sunday a month ago. Our Bible Institute is going well as are the ministries with the drug & alcohol rehab. centers, the girl orphans, etc. We’ve had several opportunities to talk to Jews recently. Thanks for your prayers & support that make it all possible. We hope to get into a boys’ orphanage soon. Our active volcano, Popocatépetl, has been overly & aggressively active the last couple months covering some of the city with ash. It’s made the pollution much worse, causing us and others to get sinus & respiratory infections. They have even temporarily shut down the main international airport a few times and have added additional restrictions to the already restricted driving, limiting even more so the ability to drive here. The dryness here has caused lots of wildfires and the shortage of water allows the fires to burn uncontrolled, adding to the pollution. We’ve had a … Read More »
