The Wallace Family - Baptist Missionaries to Mexico City
Hello, my name is Mike Wallace. We are an independent, fundamental Baptist family called by God on deputation to be a church-planting missionary family to Mexico. We trust God to quickly give us support that we need to reach the millions perishing without the gospel in the third largest city in the world, Mexico City.
We are excited about all that the Lord Jesus Christ has for us while on deputation. We expect to see more souls saved and Christians called to full-time service along the way to our field of service. We hope others will better understand the importance of the gospel and become more involved. We believe deputation to be a vital part of the ministry and we want to be a blessing to every church that God leads us to.
I am sure you well know our primary job as churches and Christians is to evangelize the world (Mark 16:15). The Apostle Paul told the carnal Christians of Corinth in 1 Corinthians 15:34, "…for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." I believe we are living in the last days (2 Timothy 3:1 and 2 Peter 3:3) as is evident in now seeing the beginning of the "falling away" mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. With this being said, I think now more than anytime before we need to do all we can to reach lost souls and to glorify our Saviour. As churches, individual Christians, and missionaries, I believe we need to have the burden of the Lord Jesus where he said in John 9:4, "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day, the night cometh, when no man can work." I believe our time will be up soon and it is now time we ‘give it all we got' to finish our race well.
The Bible says of Jesus in Matthew 9:37, 38 "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."
God has impressed upon us the ministry theme of "Laboring for the Lord and the lost in the harvest fields of Mexico City."
"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." JOHN 4:35
If you are a pastor, would consider furthering efforts for the cause of the gospel, lost souls and the Great Commission by allowing our family to visit and present our ministry? I understand that you may not be able or interested in financially supporting any new missionaries at this time but also important to us is obtaining churches and Christians that will support us in prayer. For this reason, we ask you to prayerfully consider our family and our ministry.
If you are not a pastor but you attend a good independent Baptist church or know of one that would possibly be interested in having our family visit to present our ministry, please let me know. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
